@chance1234asdf well let’s see…. much crashing and a lot of fixing. In heli 3d flying, hovering is King. You need to hover to? take off and you need to hover to land (otherwise you’ve crashed). That means when you are running stunt routines you need to be able to hover in and out of each routine, in fact you should learn to hover in the middle of the routine as an emergency precaution.

unomas17 January 27, 2012 at 7:42 pm

3d flying is awesome and sure Alan takes it a new level. Heli is a little harder than model planes but the concept is similar. It doesn’t take thousands of dollars to get good. Just find a simulator and some good tutorials. Alan Szabo has a training DVD you can find on the web or for some free instruction you can go here: chadrg com/flightschool/ Even if you spend money on this hobby (to respond to Genetically Inferior’s comments) it? is much safer than guns or drugs.

Stop trolling, start learning, and if you cant afford the hobby,? get out of it and stop ruining it for dedicated people…period

chubbychicken1234567 January 27, 2012 at 9:04 pm

I could get? the trex 250 super pro combo and includes the spektrum dx6i and receiver under 350 pounds

ehelibuff73 January 27, 2012 at 9:40 pm

I just bought 2 full 250 kits for $11.78 each. Real Aligns. I haven’t built them yet. I built a 250 and 700 for my friend and? set them up, so I know the bird well. I usually fly X-Cell 90′s. Just bought an Align 700 nitro this evening. That’ll be fun.

bassman2914 January 27, 2012 at 9:41 pm

@GeneticallySuperior1 That’s not completely true. If you were patient and careful I’m sure you could become this good and spend a minimum? amount of money. But it sure is easier when you’re paid to push the envelope and take risks.

lummox1212 January 27, 2012 at 10:36 pm

HK450 $30 GYRO $10 4 X SERVOS $40 MOTOR $12 ESC $22 BLADES $5
RADIO $60 BATTERIES $60 POSTAGE $40. 30+10+40+12+22+5+60+40+60= $280…IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE EXPENSIVE!!! I never thought? I would get into this hobby but I did and now I won’t look back. If you are starting out, buy something cheap. You WILL crash but with helis you can buy cheap airframes and rebuild. no need to spend THOUSANDS. that comes once you can fly like ALAN SZABO JR LOL

GeneticallySuperior1 January 27, 2012 at 10:40 pm

“WARNING” To anyone who thinks they will make this their? hobby & become as skilled as this pilot without spending THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of dollars in Equipment, chargers, radios, batteries, upgrades, better radio, better batteries better chargers, catastrophic failures, rebuilt choppers, the list goes on & on & on & on & on… Be ye not deceived by this young mans expertise for these manufactures use him as a marketing tool to lure the wannabe pro. REMEMBER! THIS IS HIS DAY JOB! You & I have to

unitderrickhand January 27, 2012 at 11:40 pm

It almost makes me? sick watching you fly, you are so good, truly world class. I hope to be able to fly like that one day, I just started 3 months ago.

Captan6pack January 28, 2012 at 12:01 am

@MrSavinna from scratch, Transmitter $200. Trex 250se Super combo kit $ 373.99. Batteries $80 for 4 good ones. Charger for the batteires $130. = $783.99

buuut…its freakin? awesome

MrSavinna January 28, 2012 at 12:44 am

how much do the trex 250 go for? like? how much you spend total? i wanna start making this my hobby.

polostu82 January 28, 2012 at 1:19 am

@poitka80 i dont have any videos and i use? beastx flybarless and spartan gyro’s at the moment. if i ever film a flight i’ll let you know. but ive flown a couple of 401′s and they dont really do the job in a high powered 3d enviroment.

poitka80 January 28, 2012 at 1:37 am

@polostu82 thanks for getting back to me on that. I love input. Do you have any vids of you flying.? mabe to see what? any of these gyros can do? I can only do mild 3d and would like to see everything put to the test?

Way2Evl January 28, 2012 at 1:54 am

@SuperBeaverjuice Go for the 500. The 500 has much more stability and hang time than a 450. You will be very happy with it. Parts cost difference isn’t that much difference either.?

Way2Evl January 28, 2012 at 2:18 am

Someone went brain dead on their? recording towards the end.
